Summary:
    Simulates the "New" menu button on the Today screen of your device, as well as provides a platform to launch up to 26 other programs, through their associated shortcuts.

 

Requirements:

    Pocket PC 2002 OS. ARM Processor. Optional external keyboard, since this was created for use with an external keyboard, but can be used with the software input methods including the handwriting recognition.

 

Description:
    It was designed to be used with external mini-keyboards like Riptide's Snap-N-Type (http://www.tt-tec.com) or HP's (formerly Compaq) Micro Keyboard (http://www.hp.com) for the HP iPAQ 3600, 3700, 3800 and the new X-Scale processor, 3900 series of Pocket PC's. (This should also work on other manufacturers ARM based Pocket PC's, however it hasn't been tested on any other than the 3600, 3800 and 3900 series of iPAQ). 

    It is used to launch the below listed programs, and start a new instance of that program like:

 

Outlook

 -Appointment

 -Contact

 -E-Mail Message

 -Note

 -Task

 

Excel

 -Workbook

 

Word

 -Document

 

Open File Explorer to browse for files

 

Run ActiveSync to remotely connect to desktop using network interface card (not provided).

 

Using A-Z, launch an application based on it's link file (or .lnk file extension).

 

    You can also create a shortcut to a Pocket Excel spreadsheet on the device and assign a button to it to open the spreadsheet whenever needed (this also works with Pocket Word, Notes and Pocket Internet Explorer based files).
